Hello My Beautiful Soulful Entrepreneur Friend
One thing I’m sure you’ll agree with me on is that busy soulful entrepreneurs are always looking for more exposure for their business and a way to effectively and inexpensively get their message out to the world.
With social media we have options now that we didn’t have 10 plus years ago when I began my business journey. And with all the new options, we also have things we need to learn to make the most of the exposure and our time.
Recently I started hearing a lot about using Pinterest for business, creating a business page, adding content and optimizing the pins with key words and using it to drive traffic to my website. I’ve had an account for years but wasn’t sure how to use it for more than surfing pretty images and finding recipes, neither of which I have much time for.
Realizing that it had potential to help me get my message out I spent a few hours on it and quickly decided I needed to find an expert who could show me some short cuts and give me the tools I need to utilize this platform.
After some extensive research I found a great program called “Power of Pinning” and began to see in just a few lessons how easy and effective it is to use Pinterest.
I learned you can add video, blog posts, as well as links to your website, products or even affiliate marketing. For instance I have a board with my favorite books, on each pin I can describe the book, why I liked it, some of the key words which are helpful for my business AND a link to my Amazon affiliate account so if anyone decides they would like the book I’ll make a few dollars.
It didn’t take long to learn all the ins and outs and to create a plan for my business and best of all, I’m already seeing results.
If you’re not yet an expert on Pinterest I highly recommend the “Power of Pinning“.
According to Wikipedia – Pinterest also allows businesses to create pages aimed at promoting their companies online. Such pages can serve as a “virtual storefront/” In one case study of a fashion website, users visiting from Pinterest spent $180 compared to $85 spent from users coming from Facebook. These users spent less time on the company’s website, choosing instead to browse from the company’s pinboard. Further brand studies have continued to show Pinterest is more effective at driving sales than other forms of social media.
